    Back in 2010, I posted an article about the Red Bull Stratos project, which was supposedly getting ready to send Austrian BASE jumper and international stuntman Felix Baumgartner on a record-breaking skydive from 120,000 feet above the Earth's surface (basically the edge of space). ID:	239Red Bull sponsored athlete and 13-time National Surfing Champion Gary Saavedra set a Guiness world record this past weekend when he rode a power boat wake for 41 miles down the Panama Canal. His record-breaking wake surf took just over three hours and 55 minutes!

    Saavedra averaged about 10.5 miles per hour during his surf session, with a top speed of 13.5 mph. He also battled high winds, choppy waters and the intermittent freighter wave as well as a leg cramp
