  1. Slacklining Untethered: Extreme or Foolish?

    When I saw this photo on the GetOutdoors blog this morning, my jaw dropped to the floor. That's free-climber Dean Potter, slacklining (similar to tight-rope walking but with a slack line) untethered across two cliffs at Taft Point in Yosemite National Park.

    There's no doubt Potter is an extreme dude - he regularly free climbs (without ropes) and BASE jumps. He's probably most famous for illegally climbing Delicate Arch in Arches National Park and losing his Patagonia sponsorship
