What's the most important gear accompanying Todd Murphy on his thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail?250px_Map_of_Appalachian_Trail.jpg

His legs.

A double amputee, Todd Murphy and his prosthetics are hiking the 2,160 + mile trail from Maine to Georgia as we speak. Currently he's somewhere in Massachusetts, but promised his son he'd be home in time to carve the Thanksgiving turkey. He's keeping a journal of his adventure and no doubt inspiring people to follow their dreams--no matter what obstacles they face.

To date, only about 9,500 people have reported completing the entire Appalachian Trail thru-hike. No one has ever done it on two prosthetic legs.

Until now.

We wish you the best of luck, Todd!
