We told you a few weeks ago about the fundraiser our own Web Merchandising Supervisor, Dakota Waide, was doing for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He agreed to cut his hair into a mullet and perm it if he could raise at least $500 for the MS Society by October 15th.
Well, the fundraiser was (quite obviously) a success! Dakota raised more than $500 and was last seen running around Sierra Trading Post with a fancy new permullet. We talked briefly about his new do - here's what he had to say:
A: How do you feel sporting your new permullet?
D: I feel younger, yet more mature. With a great permullet, comes great responsibility. In fact, I think the ammonia is making me smarter.
A: Has the reaction to your new look been what you expected?
D:Yea. I think it has. Enough people have made fun, but there have also been plenty of people commenting on how good it looks. I am still somewhat impartial, I find myself stopping at most mirrors and I still don’t recognize myself.
A: Do the ladies like it?
D: I think the answer to that question is quite obvious…
A: How does it feel to look like AC Slater?
D:I feel like I can take on the world. As if the power that ran through AC now runs through me. Now all I have to do is find a nice, tight fitting, camo t-shirt and a matching headband.
A: What has been the best part of this experience?
D: The best part is seeing people donate money to a good cause no matter how full or empty their wallets. Any day of the week where a small action can be done that helps those in need, well, it seems like a good idea to me. Thanks to everyone for the support!
And there you have it - the making of a permullet.
Many thanks to Dena Pouliot and Style Studio for donating the time, skill and resources necessary to make Dakota's mullet a reality.
