Non-profits eligible to win $50,000 in Greater Outdoors ProjectOne lucky non-profit outdoors organization will soon be $50,000 richer thanks to Redwood Creek's Greater Outdoors Contest.

The 2nd annual Greater Outdoors Contest is accepting applications from now until March 1, 2009. Registered 501(c)3 outdoor non-profits are eligible to win the $50,000 grant. Projects like cleaning up lakes or rivers, collecting litter from forests or marsh areas, and other creative outdoor conservation projects are encouraged.

Redwood Creek will choose the top five organizations and then America will decide the winner. People can cast their votes for the winner of the Greater Outdoors Project from April 1, 2009 - May 31, 2009.

The one-page application can be found on the Redwood Creek website and includes a Statement of Purpose of 750 words or less telling why you think your project should be chosen as the 2009 Greater Outdoors Project.
