If you've got questions about Sierra Trading Post outdoor gear, look no further than our very own Gear Doctor, Kevin Landwehr. Kevin has been working hard behind the scenes to make sure you know exactly what you're getting when it comes to outdoor gear at Sierra Trading Post.

The Gear Doctor has been in and around outdoor gear for most of his life. There's little he hasn't seen or done when it comes to outdoor sports.

He was a ski instructor in the 1980's, working at Geneva Basin in Colorado before he taught at Keystone and helped the now-famous resort cut its backcountry trails. He raced, too. "I turned gates until I was 45 years old," he says.


Kevin was a golf pro in Idaho and Texas from 1998- 2006. He's a fly fisherman, an avid bird hunter and loves hunting with his German short-haired pointer dogs as well as hiking and trekking throughout Wyoming.

In short, The Gear Doctor knows gear. He has a PhD in Gearology.
