Overcrowded, deteriorating, in ecological turmoil… that's how some people would describe our national parks. While that may be true of the more popular places, not all parks are suffering from too much traffic. National Geographic Traveler put together a great list of the most unspoiled national parks in both the U.S. and Canada to help us choose destinations with pristine conditions and without crowds.

I'm partial to Rocky Mountain National Park because it's in my backyard. But the most extraordinary park I've seen (so far) would have to be Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii. Probably because we don't see too much liquid hot magma this side of the Rockies.
