This week on Adventure Edge Radio, we're featuring an interview with Will Steger – polar explorer, global warming educator and the first ever National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence.
Steger has led unsupported dog sled expeditions to the North Pole, crossed Greenland and Antarctica, and recently lead a 1,600 mile trip across Ellesmere Island with 6 young adventurers to raise awareness of climate change.
Steger has become an expert voice on global warming and climate change and has testified before Congress about that very issue. Steger was awarded National Geographic Society's John Oliver La Gorce Medal for accomplishments in geographic exploration, in the sciences, and for public service to advance international understanding. Steger is in prestigious company - other award winners include Amelia Earhart, Robert Peary and Jacques Cousteau.
Don't miss this great interview.
Listen in and enjoy...
