If you live in, or have skied in, Colorado, you know driving I-70 from Denver to the ski resorts can be a total drag. Traffic, congestion, accidents, and closures are sometimes enough to make you want to just stay home and ski that little hill in your backyard instead.

But that would be boring. The trick is to time your trip right. Once you're up there, it's always worth it... until it takes you 5 hours to get home.
