    Back in 2010, I posted an article about the Red Bull Stratos project, which was supposedly getting ready to send Austrian BASE jumper and international stuntman Felix Baumgartner on a record-breaking skydive from 120,000 feet above the Earth's surface (basically the edge of space).     I've been seeing a lot of amazing time-lapse videos over the past few months, but this is definitely one of the best I've seen so far. Not only is the location and picture quality amazing, but every shot seems perfectly staged. It's absolutely stunning work from Sheldon Neill and Colin Delehanty. I haven't had a chance to visit Yosemite National Park, but this really makes me want to buy a plane ticket!

    Something about shooting in time lapse makes these videos even more affecting

    This short video from the BBC could be a movie trailer for planet Earth, and does a wonderful job of reminding us what a diverse and beautiful world we live in. As we conclude 2011 and look forward toward new beginnings, I think it's important to take a moment to appreciate just what an amazing place we all live in.
