Whatup peeps. I'm a bigtime music fanatic, and I'm always looking for new tunes to add to my iPod. What are you listening to these days? I'm interested in just about anything except country (no offense to country music fans, just not my cup o' tea).

A friend recently turned me on to a great indie rock band from Australia called Tame Impala. If you enjoy light psychedelic rock, you will dig it.

Here's a video to give you a sample:

Absofacto is another cool band I just discovered. Really enjoying their tunes:

Obscure Sound is a really good blog to discover lesser-known new artists. Check it out: obscuresound.com

What's on your iPod? I'd love to know...

Now this is my kind of thread! =P

If there's one thing I consider myself a junkie of, it's music! Well, specifically, electronic dance music or EDM. You guys may know it by others names like techno, electronica, or "that stuff they play at raves" lol. I frequently go to Denver to see shows from top producers at Beta Nightclub and attend their huge electronic music festivals. I actually run a music blog, with the assistance of my best friend and roommate and feature all the best and newest music, as well as videos and reviews of the shows we go to.

Time for some shameless self-promotion: If you'd like to check out my blog and get a taste of EDM. My blog is yourdailyjay.com

I'd love feedback and love to expand peoples' music tastes, so let me know what you think! Or if any of you are into this stuff, I could talk for days about it!

Whatup! Nice blog. I will have to check it out some more. I'm also into electronic music, specifically techno, house, electro, breakbeat, big beat, trip hop, dubstep, IDM, downtempo, chillout... you get the idea.

Some of my favorites: Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Daft Punk, The Prodigy, Leftfield, Portishead, Massive Attack, DJ Shadow, Hybrid, Burial, Deadmau5, Justice, Wolfgang Gartner, Glitch Mob, Big Gigantic, Pretty Lights... the list goes on.

Burial is possibly my favorite artist in recent memory. His new Massive Attack remixes are insanely good. If you like experimental ambient/post-dubstep, this will blow your mind:

Another really cool artist I recently discovered is SBTRKT:

A couple that've been rocking my stereo lately (BTW, accidentally playing both of those videos Elektro posted, AT THE SAME TIME? Just don't do it. Trust me.)

    Tame Impala yep

Went to see them at the Bluebird in Denver. Excellent sound. They were more "note-for-note" than I expected. They played the CD arrangements pretty straightforward. I was hoping for some stretching out...but i know a lot of listeners prefer CD-accurate concerts. They certainly delivered that experience.

The music and the voice of the Justin is phenomenal !! Every single song is memorable & unique. I can't stop playing it. If you forgot how good this American singer could be, pick this up.
