by agardner on 09-29-2010 at 12:36 PM
You may have noticed we have a new contributing blog author here at Sierra Blogging Post. As of tomorrow, Beren Goguen will be taking over writing for the blog full time.

I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with the best way to say goodbye. Having written Sierra Blogging Post for the past three years, it's hard for me to imagine not doing so. I've enjoyed creating, writing, and maintaining this blog more than words can express.

3 Meals a Day or Smaller Meals for Weight Loss?

by agardner on 09-29-2010 at 09:42 AM
I've heard recently that eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day is better than eating three square meals when it comes to weight loss.

If you like bicycles, you'll love this statue. This huge Egyptian-style obelisk structure is aptly named, "The Cyclisk," and is made entirely of recycled bicycles.

The giant ode to bicycles was created by artists Mark Grieve and Ilana Spector, who said collecting the bicycles for the piece saved garbage from entering the city landfill while providing beautiful art to the city of Santa Rosa, CA.

"Made of recycled bicycle gears, rims, frames and hoops, [Cyclisk]

Congratulations, Matt Prokosch. We've chosen your night shot titled "Home Row," as the winner of this week's Share Your Adventure Photo Contest!
Matt's photo was taken at Philmont Scout Ranch, in Cimarron, NM. "I was walking around the ranch one night and I noticed that this line of tents all had lights on at the same time," Mat told us. "I found a fence post to rest my camera on and took a 6-second exposure."

"I just recently got involved in photography, March 2010 to be exact,"
